I am a teacher who has worked with SEND pupils, especially those with literacy problems. I have also taught English as a foreign language. For several years I worked with Easylearn publishers, developing resources for children struggling with English and Maths. I am one of the creators of the Froggy Match-it phonics app, which helps beginner readers to learn to read and spell effectively.

A good book for both handwriting and early phonics work, Learning First letters is perfect for pupils just learning to associate phonemes and graphemes. It covers all the alphabet and contains one-letter-per-page worksheets with accompanying sheets of pictures for cut and stick work. A large number of additional worksheets can be easily and quickly made from the picture sheets: instructions are included. The sheets are ideal for early learners and for older children in need of learning support. Includes alternative letter forms for some letters. Learning First Numbers is also available.
